I lived in Argentina for 2 months and I was very often in the music store looking for good Tango music. I'm back home and I would like to share with you what I learned during my stay in Argentina.

Osvaldo Fresedo

The most interesting of the tango orchestras are the ones who fashioned a unique, instantly recognizable sounds.

Elegant, sophisticated, urbane - using vibes, harp, percussion and other orchestral possibilities, Fresedo created his own kind of tango music and in so doing left a wonderful legacy of dreamy dance music. -from totango.com

my favorite album "serie de oro"

Juan D'Arinzo

When he arrived in the latter 30's, he infused a whole new life and energy into Tango.

His joyous abandon is as inspiring today as it was 70 years ago. -from totango.com

my favorite album "Fifteen Grandes Exitos"

Francisco Canaro

Known as "Pirincho" Canaro, he had a career that spanned many decades, and his orchestra was one of the most recorded. Much of his recorded music is in the classic salon style of the 1940s
